The Commodity Buyer will manage all aspects of procurement and supply chain for gaming PC cooling components. Responsibilities include supplier management (evaluations, selection, onboarding, performance tracking), cost management (negotiation, cost reduction projects, spend tracking), supply chain management (contract management, risk mitigation, sourcing new suppliers), and cross-functional collaboration with engineering, quality, and operations teams. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of procurement experience, a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent), strong negotiation and communication skills, proficiency in MS Office and potentially Oracle/Tableau, and fluency in English and Mandarin. Experience in the computer industry is a plus. The role requires deep understanding of manufacturing processes, cost optimization strategies, and supply chain risk management.

Job Description

General Purpose:

  • Demonstrates broad knowledge of procurement and drive excellence to support business objectives in fast-pace environment.
  • Manage all aspects of the procurement and supply chain of key commodities in gaming PC cooling to ensure optimum cost and delivery continuously.
  • Ensures all procurement activities comply with the Company's Code of Ethics & Business Conduct Guidelines, Purchasing Policies & Procedures, and legal & ethical business practices.

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:

Supplier Management

  • Coordinates supplier reliability evaluations via supplier visits, analysis of cost reports, supplier P&L statements, D&B reports, quality system audits, and other data; compiles comprehensive supplier visit reports.
  • Develops requests for information/proposal/quotation; Analyzes supplier responses, compiles summary report and formulates recommendations for management review. Drives the supplier selection and onboarding process.
  • Maintains supplier scorecard to track supplier performance with key performance indicators (KPIs) and conducts supplier Quarter Business Reviews(QBR).

Cost Management

  • Negotiates with suppliers to obtain most favorable price, schedule, and terms and conditions; follows up orders to expedite delivery and shipment as required. Possess a thorough understanding of Incoterms and manage supplier shipments using the most cost-effective approach.
  • Identifies and lead life cycle cost down projects including opportunity management for large scale upside purchases.
  • Tracks spendings and cost-savings, sets quarterly projections and targets to achieve and set global strategy aligned to business needs

Supply chain management and sourcing

  • Manages complex and/or long-term contracts.
  • Maintains and monitors supply chain healthiness and stability. Alerts supply chain risk exposure and keeps clear mindset to mitigate the risks. Works with team to lower risks thru 2nd source qualification, last time buy(LTB), etc.
  • Sourcing new suppliers and develops existed suppliers with new business scope to keep Corsair cost advantages and supply availability. Establishes constant relationship and win-win partnership.

Cross-functional collaboration and operation skills

  • Engaged with new product development/introduction teams, partners with Engineering/Quality/Operation teams to drive procurement deliverables are completed in timely manner.
  • Frequently interacts with individuals in administrative or executive positions within company and supplier organizations to obtain and provide information; consults on problems requiring judgment and tact; develops and maintains good working relationships with suppliers.
  • Expertise in CM/ODM manufacturing process, lead time and operation opportunity, leverage internal/external resources to optmize supply chain and improve supplier performance so that to support company to achieve business goals.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in procurement, Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in related field preferred
  • Teamplayer, strong ownership of supplier accounts and programs
  • Fast-mover, escalate issues appropriately and troubleshooting to move on fast
  • Proven procurement experience and project management skills
  • Deep dive into manufacturing process and operation details, consolidated accurate/concise information for management to make decision
  • Proficient in MS (excel/powerpoint), Oracle, tablue as plus
  • Excellent communication (written & oral) and presentation skills, along with strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin
  • Multitasks and priority management
  • Prior experience in the computer industry, a plus
