As a Data Analyst – Web and Social (Telco), you'll contribute to daily reporting needs for client marketing efforts, focusing on web and social analytics. Responsibilities include monitoring daily/weekly/monthly performance data from analytics platforms, creating reports and dashboards using various systems and databases, identifying data nuances for business optimization, supporting marketing initiatives (measurement plans, research, reporting), expanding skills through internal training, and conducting ad-hoc analysis, reporting, and insight generation. You'll work with tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or Firebase, Excel, and data visualization tools (Google Data Studio, Power BI). Experience with SQL or Python and other tools is a plus. The role demands strong analytical skills, a fast-paced work ethic, and teamwork in a deadline-driven environment.

Job Description

What you will do:  

As an Analyst, you will participate in laying the groundwork and contribute to day-to-day reporting needs for client marketing efforts.  You will be assigned to primarily web and social analytics projects and reporting for a client brand.

 

Day-to-day, your role includes:

  • Keeping a pulse on daily, weekly and monthly performance data from analytics platforms
  • Working in a variety of reporting systems and databases for the creation of recurring reports and dashboards
  • Identifying nuances in data to optimize our clients’ business
  • Supporting marketing initiatives across project and campaign lifecycles, including measurement plans, primary and secondary research and performance reporting
  • Expanding industry knowledge and relevant skillsets through scheduled internal training
  • Participating in ad hoc requests from accounts handled such as root-cause analysis, reporting, data insights generation and more.

Qualifications

We’re looking for strong, impactful work experience, which typically includes:

  • 1-3 years of work experience in a relevant industry
  • An undergraduate college degree
  • Passion for digital marketing, eagerness to learn in a constantly-changing industry, and possess natural curiosity
  • Understanding and familiarity with web analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or Firebase is required
  • Familiarity with Excel for data analysis tools
  • Knowledge of SQL or Python (desired but optional)
  • Familiarity with Javascript and tag management tools such as Google Tag Manager, DTM or Tealium is a plus
  • Experience in using data visualization tool such as Google Data Studio and/or Power BI is required
  • Experience with other data visualization tools e.g. Tableau etc. (desired but optional)
  • Experience with Google BigQuery, MySQL etc. (desired but optional)
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
  • Able to prioritise tasks and provide timely updates
  • Team player, Independent & Detail-oriented
  • Ability to learn and adapt to different systems and various databases

Experience in the Telco or Finance industry is a plus.
