Job Description

This Data Internship at Absolute Sports involves data management and tracking using Google Sheets/Excel, creating automated solutions, analyzing KPIs, generating reports and insights, and preparing presentations. The intern will collaborate with teams, ensuring data alignment with project goals. Responsibilities also include prioritizing tasks, monitoring team progress, and providing feedback. The Opportunity

Location: Remote

Role: Internship

Key Responsibilities

1. Data Management & Tracking:

• Maintain and regularly update data sheets (Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel) with accuracy.

• Ensure timely data collection and organization from various sources, particularly related to ongoing analytics projects.

• Create automated solutions where possible (e.g., formulas, macros) to streamline data entry and management tasks.

2. Data Analysis & Reporting

• Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports on data insights.

• Analyze trends and generate actionable insights from the collected data.

• Collaborate with different teams to ensure alignment with project goals through data-driven insights.

3. Presentations & Reporting

• Prepare clear and concise presentations to summarize findings for internal teams.

• Ensure data is translated into visually appealing and comprehensible formats (charts, tables, infographics).

• Present insights in internal meetings and suggest actionable next steps based on data.

4. Work Organization & Task Distribution

• Prioritize and organize daily tasks effectively to meet deadlines.

• Maintain a clear schedule of deliverables and ensure that other teams have access to updated reports when needed.

• Monitor team members’ progress and provide feedback based on the data metrics.

5. Social Media Analytics (Bonus)

• If applicable, track and analyze social media performance metrics (e.g., reach, engagement, click-through rates).

• Provide insights into content performance and suggest optimizations for better results.

6. Learning & Development

• Stay updated on the latest tools, features, and techniques in data management and social media analytics.

• Proactively seek out opportunities to improve skill sets related to the role.
