This is a remote position.
Macroeconomics Data Analysis:
Conduct in-depth analysis of macroeconomic data relevant to Qatar, including but not limited to GDP, inflation, employment, and trade indicators.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the specific requirements and nuances of macroeconomic modeling within the existing dashboard.
Data Visualization:
Work closely with the creative team to conceptualize and design compelling data visualizations that effectively communicate macroeconomic trends and insights.
Utilize advanced visualization tools and techniques to present complex data in a user-friendly manner.
Model Interpretation:
Provide insights into the economic models integrated into the dashboard, ensuring that data visualizations accurately represent underlying economic trends.
Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless integration of visualizations into the dashboard framework.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and stakeholders, to ensure alignment on data interpretation and visualization goals.
Communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders and contribute to collaborative decision-making processes.
Requirements
Educational Background:
Master’s or Ph.D. in Data Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience:
Proven experience as a Data Scientist with a focus on macroeconomics data analysis.
Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in creating impactful and insightful data visualizations.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, or similar.
Experience with data visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, Plotly, Tableau).
Familiarity with database systems and SQL.
Domain Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of macroeconomic indicators and economic modeling.
