Job Description

As a Nintendo of America Intern, you will contribute to meaningful projects and gain valuable hands-on work experience in the entertainment industry. Your work will be enhanced with mentoring, networking opportunities, and exposure to industry leaders. You will work within the Consumer Service Channel Experience team to develop an internal software tool. Your responsibilities will include extracting and transforming data, designing a desktop graphical interface, implementing pre-trained ML models, and collaborating with stakeholders.
Good To Have:
  • Familiarity with libraries for generating and rendering charts
  • Experience integrating pre-trained ML models into applications
Must Have:
  • 3.0+ GPA
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program
  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field
  • Proficient in C#
  • Working knowledge of Python
  • Experience with a Windows GUI framework such as WPF
  • Ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Able to work 40 hours a week onsite

INTERN – Software Engineer

Application Deadline: December 1, 2024

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Work within Nintendo’s Consumer Service Channel Experience team to develop an internal software tool that will summarize and display data from Consumer Service surveys

  • Extract and transform relevant data from the Consumer Service database to create views that are meaningful to the business stakeholders

  • Design a Desktop graphical interface that will allow the user to generate reports with set parameters based on the data

  • Implement pre-trained ML models that categorize consumer feedback text data

SUMMARY OF REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3.0+ GPA

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program with a graduation conferral date between May 2025 and June 2026

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field

  • Proficient in C#

  • Has working knowledge of Python

  • Experience with a Windows GUI framework such as WPF

  • Familiarity with libraries for generating and rendering charts (e.g., Plotly.NET) a plus

  • Experience integrating pre-trained ML models into applications (e.g., ONNX) a plus

  • Ability to work with non-technical stakeholders in a cross-functional team

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

  • Able to work 40 hours a week onsite throughout the course of the 10-week summer internship between June – September

This position is onsite in Redmond, WA, and not open to remote status at this time. Housing and travel support will be provided for non-local hires.

This internship includes a base pay range of $30 per hour, paid sick and safe time, and perks such as a local transit pass and access to the onsite fitness center. Given the limited duration of the role, interns are not eligible for full-time employee benefits such as healthcare or 401(k).
