Job Duties: Collect and analyze data regarding Buyer transactional risk, Seller credit risk, AntiMoney Laundering, and Prohibited/Restricted/Counterfeit item compliance tactics to develop the long-term product vision, strategy, and roadmap execution. Jointly own Key Performance Metrics for these areas along with Policy and contribute to risk strategies to achieve these goals. Create a multi-year defensible Product strategy tailored to eBay’s Seller/Buyer portfolio. Synthesize short and long-term product capabilities from cross-functional teams across Policy, Risk, and Buyer/Seller teams and maintain a groomed, prioritized backlog. Drive strategy creation, execution, and partner communication across leadership audiences. Collaborate with the Risk, Fraud, and eBay’s Core Technology teams to build nextgen account linking systems and their adoption for Risk use cases. Partner closely with the Product Analytics team to collect data insights to define and measure impact. Monitor industry trends in emerging fraud trends in conjunction with cross functional partners to identify new product opportunities. Evaluate vendor offerings and build a cost-effective vendor strategy for third-patty data. Coach, mentor and build a dedicated team by providing effective, timely feedback and learning opportunities. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.
Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus four years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements:
1. People management experience of technical roles including data analysts and risk analysts (2 years).
2. Experience in fraud and credit risk management, product management, risk tools and infrastructure, statistical and quantitative analysis, and financial services and payments (2 years).
3. Experience building and leading a team to carry out complex statistical and quantitative analysis using predictive mathematical modeling (2 years).
4. Experience solving complex problems involving fraud, payments and risk management (2 years).
5. Experience using Data Insights and Data Narratives to define success metrics and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) (2 years).
6. Experience building data and risk tools including dashboards with Business Intelligence tools (2 years).
7. Experience processing data, building mathematical models and carrying out statistical analysis (2 years).
Base salary: $205,137.00-314,083.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
