This full-time, 6-month internship (June 14, 2025 - Jan 3, 2026) provides vital administrative and logistical support to the Talent Casting team. Responsibilities include supporting auditions for various roles (character performers, dancers, singers, actors), developing targeted marketing strategies, evaluating online submissions, participating in virtual workshops, and applying creative sourcing methods to build talent pipelines. The intern will help streamline the audition process and improve the overall talent acquisition strategy. The role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with experience in entertainment preferred.

If selected to be a part of our Talent Casting team, you will report to the Manager of Talent Casting Strategies & Initiatives.

This is a full-time 6-month internship (dates are June 14, 2025, through Jan 3, 2026).

What You Will Do

In this role, you will offer vital administrative and logistical support, assisting with marketing, planning, and running auditions and external engagements. This includes:

  • Supporting the execution of auditions for various roles, such as character performers, dancers, singers, and actors, and suggesting improvements to the candidate experience.
  • Working with Casting Marketing to develop targeted strategies and innovative ways for promoting audition opportunities via social media.
  • Evaluating online submissions and advising Casting Directors on whom to call back.
  • Participating in the production of virtual workshops and learning sessions to engage the Disney Auditions audience.
  • Applying creative sourcing methods to build talent pipelines and researching new markets to attract high-quality candidates for challenging roles like face characters and tumblers/gymnasts.

Through these efforts, you will help us streamline the audition process and improve the overall talent acquisition strategy.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and confidential information
  • Experience in Entertainment (Vocal/Dance/Musical Theater)
  • Ability to learn new software applications
  • Strategic problem solver with creative problem-solving skills, strong oral/written communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

It would also be great if you have/are:

  • Knowledge or exposure to performer contracts
  • Understanding of the live performer experience
  • Experience using systems such as Smartsheet, Airtable, etc.
  • Former Disney performer, a plus

Education

  • Currently enrolled as a Junior, Senior, or graduate student
  • Major or previous coursework in Musical Theater, Arts, Entertainment or Event Management, Communications, Marketing, or related major preferred

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university, taking at least one class at the time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization
  • Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or Disney College Program
  • Be compliant with appearance guidelines
  • Fully available Sunday through Saturday, for the duration of the internship, 40 hours per week
  • Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work
  • Possess a valid US driver’s license and have the ability to operate a company vehicle
  • Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • Able to provide own housing for the duration of internship program in Florida

The pay rate for this role in Orlando, FL is $18.75 per hour.
