Job Description

The Lucasfilm Games Production Intern will support the production team in all aspects of licensed game production. Responsibilities include managing administrative and logistical tasks, supporting the approval process of interactive projects, participating in meetings (taking and distributing notes, tracking action items), managing build submissions and documentation, maintaining team calendars, assisting with database integration and report generation, and providing feedback on game builds. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, strong communication abilities, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and a passion for gaming. This internship offers valuable experience in the video game industry, working on high-profile projects within a dynamic and collaborative environment.

Job Summary:

About the Role:

The Production Intern will assist the Lucasfilm Games production team on all aspects of the licensed game production process.  This person will handle administrative and logistical functions related to multiple products in a fast-paced environment.

This role will be responsible for partnering with a Producer to deliver innovative, high quality brand-enhancing products.

What you will Do:

  • Support the approval process of interactive projects in all stages of the product lifecycle, facilitating the timely delivery of feedback to meet production deadlines.
  • Participate in weekly recurring functional meetings, taking and distributing meeting notes, tracking timely follow up on action items and facilitating the coordination and collaboration throughout the production process
  • Support the management/upkeep/archiving of build submissions and documentation and provide builds to internal partners to support catalog distribution of titles.
  • Maintain production team calendar including key milestone dates and build submissions, stakeholder meetings, and key public communications.
  • May assist with other production department administrative tasks as requested during the internship.
  • Assist with database integration, and report generation across multiple projects.
  • Play game development builds to generate brand and qualitative feedback.

  • Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills; attention to detail.
  • Strong sense of ownership, flexibility, and urgency.
  • Able to work independently, creatively, and track multiple deadlines and projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with emphasis on building productive and positive relationships with external partners, managers, and peers.
  • Strong Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint / Keynote-
  • Passion for the latest games and game platforms (Mobile, Console, and PC).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Airtable and Miro
  • Demonstrated and familiarity and respect for Lucasfilm franchises.
  • Prior experience with software development  
  • Active gamer on any platforms

Required Education

Current Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Media, Game Design or related.

Eligibility Requirements & Program Information

Candidates for this opportunity MUST meet all of the below requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship. Current Disney Interns, College, International, or Culinary Program Participants: You may only work for ONE consecutive year (12 months) in any combination of an internship and/or program.
  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess unrestricted work authorization

Additional Information

  • Must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
  • The approximate dates of this internship are early June 2025- early January 2026
  • Must provide own housing during the internship in the San Francisco, CA area
  • Must have reliable transportation to/from work


The pay rate for this role in California is $22.00 per hour.
