The EC and Emerging Channel Director will develop and implement e-commerce and emerging channel strategies to drive sustainable business growth and improve margins. Key responsibilities include managing P&L for e-commerce platforms, developing partnerships with online retailers, building and operating online flagship stores, developing new digital channels, and driving ROI through performance marketing. The role also involves collaboration with marketing and innovation teams, and developing the e-commerce capabilities of the team, including building a strong team of e-commerce sales and marketing professionals.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • 10+ years of e-Commerce experience, 5 in management
  • Strong e-commerce sales and marketing background
  • Deep understanding of China's digital commerce environment
  • Skills to manage complexity across diverse markets
  • Ability to drive and enable change

About the role

The role of EC and Emerging Channel Director has the responsibilities to develop and implement the E-commerce and emerging channel strategies to drive sustainable business growth and continuously improve margin.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the E-commerce/digital platform P&L delivery (including traditional e-commerce such as T-mall/JD, social commerce such as Tiktok). Implement account strategies and drive go-to-market strategies to deliver consistent and profitable growth.
  • Develops and implements partnerships with B2C online retailers, agencies and other key partners with clear management policy, processes and effective operations.
  • Build and operates online flagship stores across the full spectrum of platforms and brands.
  • Develops new digital channels including social commerce, direct-to-consumer etc. Fully leverages performance marketing and platform algorithms to consistently drive up ROI and conversion.
  • Works closely with brand Marketing Directors and Innovation Directors to develop the fit-for-purpose EC innovation pipeline, including Cross Border E-Commerce.
  • Leads and develops E-commerce capability in the team, supports the development of talent including building a strong team of e-commerce sales and marketing professionals to provide the talents of the future.

Qualifications and skills

Essential

·Bachelor Degree and above

·At least 10-year working experience of e-Commerce field in which 5 years in managerial grade, very rich and solid e-commerce sales and marketing background

·Deep understanding of China’s complex digital commerce environment and the category, channel and shopper dynamics

·Proven skills to manage a high degree of complexity across diverse markets in changing environment.

·Ability to drive and enable change

·Proven people management skills and demonstrated ability to develop organizational capability and drive people agenda
