Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • 5 years of experience building Artificial Intelligence (AI)/Machine Learning (ML) solutions, platforms or infrastructure.
  • 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or in a related technical field.
  • Experience working collaboratively with other designers (e.g., User Experience Researchers (UXR), User Experience (UX) writers, Product Managers, and Engineers).
  • Experience driving technical cross-functional AI/ML based projects from research to production.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Machine Learning (ML) and Infrastructure Software Engineers while demonstrating technical leadership to strategize the team's execution.
  • Work with feature teams to define and refine product features and strategy leveraging the advancement of ML.
  • Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Build the team's product strategy and enable the team to maximize the delivered impact with technical expertise.
  • Create a positive, respectful, and safe working environment.
