Job Description
Google is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Program Manager for its supply chain operations in Amsterdam. This role requires managing EHS programs in warehousing, logistics, and automation, ensuring a safe and compliant workplace. Responsibilities include monitoring program performance, implementing corrective actions, conducting assurance activities, managing vendor compliance, and participating in risk reduction initiatives. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, program management experience, and familiarity with European EHS regulations. Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills are essential, along with the ability to coach and advise stakeholders. The role involves partnering with vendors to drive safety improvements and ensuring EHS performance meets required standards.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field
- 1+ years program management experience
- EHS experience & European regulation knowledge
- Manage EHS programs in warehousing/logistics
- Vendor compliance management
- Excellent communication & collaboration skills
Good to have:
- Board of Certified Safety Professionals certificate
- Warehousing/logistics/automation industry experience

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience in Program Management.
- Experience in the Environment, Health and Safety field.
- Experience in workplace safety and environmental regulations with European directives and regulations.
Preferred qualifications:
- Certificate from Board of Certified Safety Professionals (e.g., Middelbare/Hogere Veiligheidskunde, NEBOSH).
- Experience in warehousing, transportation or related logistics industry.
- Experience in supporting projects in a multidisciplinary and international environment.
- Ability to coach, influence and advise leadership and vendor stakeholders to achieve positive EHS outcomes.
- Excellent collaboration, project management, and communication skills.

- Manage Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs in Google’s warehousing/logistics/automation spaces to ensure a safe and compliant workplace with the focus on improvement. Monitor and track program performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action plans.
- Coordinate and participate in assurance activities. Manage the compliance program and audit vendors for compliance to legal and Google EHS requirements.
- Participate in engineering and innovation solutions to reduce risk in the supply chain operations.
- Review incident investigations submitted by vendors and communicate learning/corrective and preventive actions across the business to prevent recurrence.
- Partner with Supply Chain vendors to drive safety improvements and ensure their EHS performance meets the required standards and meet with stakeholders to communicate on performance and requirements.
