Job Description

GamePoint seeks a part-time Chat Operator/Game Support to provide excellent customer service to players. Responsibilities include answering questions about the platform and games, handling complaints, assisting with community events (online and offline), and contributing to activities like localization, social media scheduling, and live streams. The role requires fluency in English and at least one other European language (Dutch, German, etc.). The position is located in The Hague, Netherlands, and involves flexible hours including days, evenings, and weekends.

Position Summary – Chat Operator / Game Support 

We currently have a great (student) job opportunity for a Chat Operator that supports our players by answering all kinds of questions about GamePoint, our games, and the community and thus helping to improve our customers’ satisfaction. The Chat Operator is active in our community chats, answers the phone, and takes care of incoming support tickets via live chat, mail, and various social networks.


Note: EU residency is mandatory


Key Responsibilities

  • You keep players happy and entertained
  • Provide support in a combination of the following languages: Dutch, English or German. 
  • Handle complaints in difficult and busy situations
  • Assist with community events, offline and online
  • You take care of several forthcoming activities such as localizations, social media scheduling, and live streams.


Educational & (Work) Experience

  • You are currently studying (BA or MA)
  • Working experience in a customer-oriented environment

  • You have a polite, thoughtful, and friendly attitude
  • High level of empathy and a strong customer focus
  • You are a team player
  • Have a good sense of humor
  • Willing to work on flexible hours, during the day, evening, and on the weekend


Essential skills

  • You have a great affinity with (mobile) Games and the Gaming industry
  • Basic computer knowledge and affinity with IT
  • Fluency in English (speaking & writing)


Desirable

  • Fluency in one European language like; Dutch, Italian, German, Spanish, Portuguese, or French.
