Job Description
As an FP&A Analyst, you will be essential in building a new finance team and shaping growth. You will lead the annual budget, deliver month-end analysis, and partner on international forecasting. You will provide financial insights through reporting and ad-hoc projects, directly influencing strategic decisions. Key responsibilities include leading the annual budgeting process, driving month-end financial reporting, partnering with international offices, conducting in-depth ad-hoc analysis, developing data visualizations, and supporting the rollout of new FP&A software. You will collaborate with key teams, explain budget variances, and provide recommendations for business improvement.
Must have:
- Strong Excel proficiency, including complex formulas and financial models.
- Demonstrated proactive problem-solving and ability to manage tasks.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with teams.
- Strong attention to detail in producing financial outputs.
Good to have:
- An accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.) or working towards.
- One or two years Post Qualification Experience (PQE) advantageous.

Key responsibilities:

- Lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating closely with key teams and stakeholders to develop comprehensive and accurate financial plans.
- Drive the month-end financial reporting and analysis, providing insightful variance explanations against budget to inform decision-making.
- Partner with international office contacts to facilitate cost forecasting and ongoing budget reviews, ensuring global alignment and accuracy.
- Conduct in-depth ad-hoc analysis, synthesising complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for business improvement.
- Develop and maintain user-friendly data visualisations (charts, graphs, dashboards) and presentations to enhance data accessibility and understanding across the organisation
- Contribute to the successful onboarding and rollout of new FP&A software, supporting the evolution of our financial tools and processes.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Strong proficiency in Excel, including the ability to work confidently with complex formulas and understand and develop robust financial models
- Demonstrated proactive problem-solving capabilities with a proven ability to quickly learn and independently manage tasks and projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly and confidently interact across diverse teams and present financial insights to senior stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, visually appealing financial outputs, including dashboards, graphs, and presentations.
- An accounting qualification (ACA,ACCA,CIMA etc) or working towards desirable, but not essential
- One or two years PQE advantageous, but not essential
