Game Artist III

Are you a passionate artist interested in breathing life into games? PAPL is building a new

Game Development Studio and is seeking a talented 3D artist to drive the art of a new cross-platform 3D

Action-Adventure title. This is a great opportunity to be part of the initial core team that builds the

franchise from the early stages. The ideal candidate is well-versed in Blender and has contributed to

shipped titles in the past or has an equivalent portfolio indicative of the experience required. This is a

salaried, full-time position at our Chennai office, and relocation assistance will be provided.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Create Character models, skins and environment assets as needed.
• Rig and animate models.
• Mentor junior artists when the team expands.
• Translate rough sketches and reference images into 3D assets without a dedicated concept
• artist.
• Create highly optimized models while maintaining quality. Understand LOD.
• Be curious and provide recommendations on the most efficient pipeline to create any given asset
• for the best look and performance.
• Have great pride of ownership. Demonstrate keen attention to detail.
• Be a team player. Should be available to collaborate across international time zones.

Education and/or Experience Desired:

• 5+ years of experience in the game development industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in art or relevant diploma.
• Strong experience with Blender.
• Experience with Adobe CC Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro).
• Having worked on cross-platform projects is a plus.
• Experience in several of the following a plus: Character modeling and animation, Environment
• assets, key frame animation, high quality textures (PBR maps), importing assets into Unreal and
• suggesting lighting and being able to create sequences.
• Experienced with version control software (e.g., Perforce, Git).
• Good communication in English is a must.
