As the Senior Director, Head of International Marketing, you’ll be at the forefront of expanding Axon’s presence globally, with an immediate focus on key markets in Europe. You will drive marketing initiatives across international markets; oversee digital, event, and creative strategies; and ensure our teams are set up for success. You’ll work hand-in-hand with our corporate marketing centers of excellence and in-region teams to execute on marketing strategies, optimize for impact, and support our growth targets. The EMEA, Americas and APAC marketing leaders will report directly to you, making this role pivotal in aligning our global marketing vision.

This role reports directly to the Executive Vice President of Marketing and requires close collaboration with sales, product, and regional leadership teams across the world. You will be key to building our brand globally, developing key markets, and driving demand generation — always ensuring our global marketing efforts align with local market needs.

What You’ll Do 

Location: Amsterdam 
Reports to: EVP, Marketing 
Direct Reports: 5 Regional Marketing Leaders 

 

  • Lead and grow the international marketing team – Manage and mentor a growing marketing team across EMEA, Americas and APAC. Demonstrate deep knowledge of market dynamics, the ability to lead cross-functional teams, and a clear alignment with Axon’s mission and values.
  • Develop the European marketing strategy – Define and execute the strategic marketing plan for key markets in Europe, with a clear focus on public affairs, brand building, and demand generation.
  • Oversee digital, event, and creative strategies – Work with global and regional teams to build and execute high-impact digital campaigns, events, and creative initiatives tailored to local markets. Ensure strong alignment with our global standards and local optimization.
  • Collaborate with corporate centers of excellence – Partner closely with Axon’s corporate marketing functions (Brand, PR, Digital, and more) to support in-region teams in executing and optimizing marketing programs.
  • Grow key markets – Identify growth opportunities in priority markets and adapt strategies over time to maximize Axon’s international footprint.
  • Manage global alignment – Oversee and align marketing efforts across regions, ensuring the Americas, APAC, and Europe, specifically, are executing towards a unified global marketing vision while balancing in-market execution.
  • Data-driven marketing – Track, analyze, and optimize performance across all marketing programs, making real-time adjustments to maximize impact and ROI.
  • Work cross-functionally – Build deep relationships with sales and product leadership teams, ensuring that marketing efforts are fully integrated into broader business objectives.

What You Bring

  • 12+ years of leadership experience in marketing and communications, with specialized expertise in integrated marketing and transformation at high-growth companies.
  • Proven experience leading marketing efforts for U.S.-based companies as they expand into international markets, especially in Europe.
  • A strong background in managing and executing marketing programs across digital, events, creative, and demand generation.
  • A data-driven mindset, with a proven ability to track, measure, and optimize marketing performance.
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership skills, with experience working closely with sales, product, and marketing teams worldwide.
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach, with the ability to inspire and align global teams.
  • Strong experience with public affairs, demand generation, and brand building.
  • Ability to balance both strategy and hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
