Rolls-Royce Solutions Benelux is a subsidiary of Rolls-Royce Power Systems, a division of Rolls-Royce plc. We provide pioneering, integrated solutions for the marine and infrastructure sectors and focus on digitalization and electrification, playing an innovative key role at the forefront of the energy transition. Our core business is supplying and maintaining diesel and gas engines and power systems for shipping, energy generation, construction, rail and data centers applications within the Benelux.

For our office in Dordrecht, The Netherlands, we are looking for an:

Field Service Engineer (m/f)

(Fulltime | 40 hours)

In the role of Field Service Engineer you are able to have a good overview of complex, highly accurate control systems for our engines. Together with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, you play a crucial role in getting these systems to the required performance, by understanding the controls of such systems and looking for the best solutions within those boundaries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and ensure the performance integrity of our engines, gensets and systems. Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on our engines as well as on the automation systems.

  • Analyse and solve system failures which could be of mechanical, electronic or electrical nature and create reports on your findings and solutions

  • Verifying the material condition of the systems and equipment and verifying engineering solutions to solve equipment obsolescence problems as required.

  • Performing accurate diagnoses on the service of our systems, assisted by the most modern diagnostic systems.

  • Carrying out work within the legal and company context in the field of HSE.

  • Securing and performing Last Minute Risk Assessment on the workplace.

Your Competences:

  • An Associate or Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or equivalent;

  • At least 3 years of work experience, preferably in field service

  • Technical knowledge and experience in the field of control and automation systems

  • Ability to work with computers, electronic control systems and measuring equipment;

  • Good reporting skills in English language;

  • Customer-friendly and solution-oriented, a team player, the ability to work independently, a professional appearance, communicative and correct.

  • Function Group: 7, 8 or 9 | Salary bandwidth: €3500 - €4500 gross per month;

  • 5% Irregularity allowance

  • 8% holiday pay; 27 vacation days plus 13 ATV on a full-time basis;
