Microsoft's Copilot team seeks a Principal Product Manager to drive new feature development, enhancing user engagement and growth. Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Principal Product Manager to join our Copilot team within the Microsoft AI (MAI) organization. This role is pivotal in driving the addition of new features to Copilot, aimed at increasing growth and engagement. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in customer-facing user experiences and be able to exercise the fine art of prioritizing based on qualitative signals, data insights, and strong product instincts in the ever-evolving landscape of conversational AI solutions.

As a Principal Product Manager, you will be responsible for defining and executing the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with the overall business strategy and goals. You will work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and customer support teams to deliver innovative features that enhance the user experience and drive customer satisfaction. Your ability to gather and analyze customer feedback, market trends, and competitive insights will be crucial in shaping the product vision and strategy.

In this role, you will also be expected to mentor and guide junior product managers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. You will play a key role in representing the Copilot team in cross-functional meetings and initiatives, advocating for the product and its users. Your strong communication and leadership skills will be essential in building relationships with stakeholders and driving consensus on product decisions.

Additionally, you will be responsible for monitoring and analysing product performance metrics, identifying opportunities for optimization and growth. Your proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to adapt to changing business needs will ensure the continued success and relevance of Copilot in the market.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years of experience in product management or software development OR equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of driving customer success and growth in a technology-driven environment.
  • Strong understanding of AI and machine learning technologies and their application in customer success.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively across departments and teams.
  • Driven by results, with a focus on achieving measurable outcomes and continuous improvement.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in or with large enterprises, particularly within the technology or SaaS sectors.
  • Knowledge of AI and machine learning technologies and their application in customer success.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.
