Job Description

The IAM Director at Epic Games will lead a team of producers, programmers, and analysts responsible for identity and access management (IAM) services. This includes planning, designing, implementing, and driving workforce IAM services, focusing on user experience and compliance. The role requires collaboration with various departments to ensure proper access entitlements and maintain security and auditability. Responsibilities include strategic IAM planning, roadmap development, handling escalations, and implementing IAM solutions. The ideal candidate will have proven IAM leadership in a large enterprise, deep cloud IAM solution understanding (Okta, Sailpoint, Active Directory, etc.), and strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Must have:
  • Proven IAM leadership in large enterprise
  • 8+ years IT experience in large consumer base company
  • Deep understanding of cloud IAM solutions (Okta, Sailpoint, etc.)
  • Strong communication & problem-solving skills
  • Compliance and security expertise
Good to have:
  • CISA, CISM, or CISSP certification

Create and maintain a proactive and stable IT environment as well as provide IT support to our Epic people. You will be empowered to shape processes that deliver optimized IT service across our business. Work with emerging technologies while enabling IT success for everyone.

What You'll Do

Join our team as the Identity and Access Manager and take the lead in overseeing our talented group of IAM programmers and analysts. You'll be responsible for planning, designing, implementing, and driving forward workforce Identity and Access Management (IAM) services across the organization, focusing on improving the user experience and meeting compliance requirements. You'll drive collaboration between information security, human resources, technology services, and other business and risk stakeholders to grant proper access to entitlements, ensuring the security and auditability of the organization's sensitive information. Work across departments to develop and communicate strategies regarding identity and access management and ensure that the direction meets the established organizational standards. Your expertise will be instrumental in guiding Epic towards maintaining the highest standards in security and technology compliance.

In this role, you will

  • Lead a team of producers, programmers, and analysts for services including authentication, authorization, federation, governance, and PKI
  • Work with other teams to collect and prioritize requirements, deliver services and manage product and account lifecycles
  • Ensure compliance and facilitate testing of policies and controls in support of regulatory compliance by collaborating with line of business partners and stakeholders across the company
  • Drive strategic planning for IAM and partner with producers to drive the IAM roadmap, handle escalations for administrative support for IAM services, and formulate and implement IAM solutions and controls

What we're looking for

  • Proven IAM leadership experience in a large enterprise. Specific degree not required. CISA, CISM, or CISSP preferred
  • At least 8 years of IT experience for a company with a large consumer base and similar industry preferred hands-on experience with financial compliance or similar in an enterprise environment
  • Deep understanding of cloud identity and access management solutions, such as Okta, Sailpoint IdentityNow, Active Directory, Entra ID, GCP IAM, and AWS IAM, with a general understanding of core IAM concepts such as single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, directory services, and application integration
  • Familiarity with role-based access and user access reviews in an enterprise environment
  • Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, strong analytical skills, and a structured problem-solving approach. Must also be able to innovate and multi-task with minimal oversight

This role is open to multiple locations in North America (including CA & WA).

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
