Onward Search is seeking a Knowledge Manager for a 6-month, fully remote project (Eastern or Central time zones). This role involves implementing and evolving a Knowledge Management (KM) framework across various business units. Responsibilities include designing and leading the KM framework, collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing knowledge assets for internal stakeholders (web platforms, product interfaces, contact centers), creating a KM roadmap, driving knowledge sharing, monitoring and reporting on KPIs, ensuring content governance and quality, supporting training and adoption, and continuously evaluating and improving KM workflows. The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in a related field, 5+ years of experience implementing KM strategies within technical teams or large organizations, strong expertise in KM programs, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.

We’re excited to partner with a leading TechEd client to find a Knowledge Manager for a dynamic 6-month project opportunity. This role is fully remote, with candidates required to work within the Eastern or Central time zones on a W2 basis.

As a Knowledge Manager, you will play a key role in implementing and evolving the Knowledge Management (KM) framework across various business units. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the framework's successful adoption, governance, and continuous improvement. Additionally, you’ll manage the creation and organization of knowledge assets that support internal stakeholders, including web platforms, product interfaces, and contact centers.

Pay: $30-33 per hour + Healthcare Benefits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Lead KM Framework: Manage the setup, governance, and ongoing success of the Knowledge Management framework across the organization.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with cross-functional business units to align KM initiatives with broader organizational learning strategies.
  • Content Development: Develop, organize, and evaluate knowledge assets (both account and technical) for enterprise-wide use, ensuring content is structured for easy access across multiple channels.
  • Create KM Roadmap: Design and implement a roadmap for KM, incorporating industry best practices and advancements in tools and processes.
  • Drive Knowledge Sharing: Advocate for KM tools and processes that promote knowledge sharing and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous learning.
  • Monitor and Report: Establish and track KPIs to measure the success and impact of KM content, summarizing insights and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Governance and Quality: Oversee the governance of KM content to ensure it adheres to guidelines, quality standards, and style consistency.
  • Support Training and Adoption: Drive KM training efforts, ensuring successful adoption of tools and processes across the organization.
  • Evaluate and Improve: Continuously assess and refine KM workflows and processes, integrating feedback from stakeholders and adjusting strategies for greater impact.

Knowledge Manager Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience implementing Knowledge Management strategies, ideally within technical teams or large global organizations.
  • Strong expertise in developing and managing KM programs, with the ability to engage senior leadership and incorporate their feedback.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams to achieve measurable results.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Collaborative approach, with strong interpersonal and communication skills to navigate a matrixed organizational structure.
  • Ability to influence and lead with a positive attitude, demonstrating strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
