Onward Search is seeking a Market Research Manager for a 12+ month contract opportunity. This remote position (20-40 hours/week) requires a Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred) and 5+ years of market research experience. Responsibilities include leading market research efforts, designing and managing custom research projects using qualitative and quantitative methodologies, synthesizing data to inform marketing strategies, collaborating with analytics teams, staying updated on market trends, presenting findings, managing external research suppliers, and ensuring ethical compliance. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication and presentation skills, and experience working in a matrixed environment. Pharmaceutical industry experience is a plus.

This remote position offers a flexible working schedule (approximately 20-40 hours per week) and has an application deadline of January 10, 2025.

As a Market Research Manager, you will be at the forefront of shaping strategic decisions by providing actionable insights that guide marketing and business strategies. In this role, you will design, manage, and analyze research initiatives across key therapeutic areas (TAs), partnering with both internal and external teams. This is a high-impact opportunity where your expertise will directly influence business outcomes through a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead market research efforts as a strategic partner for assigned marketing teams, delivering key insights and fostering trusted relationships.
  • Design and manage custom research projects, utilizing various methodologies to generate actionable insights.
  • Synthesize data from multiple sources to inform and drive marketing strategies and tactics.
  • Work closely with analytics teams to provide integrated recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on market dynamics, competitive trends, and industry developments, ensuring that all research initiatives align with current business needs.
  • Build strong, objective relationships across teams while representing the voice of the customer.
  • Confidently present findings to diverse audiences within the organization, ensuring clarity and impact.
  • Manage external research suppliers and monitor projects to ensure they meet timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Ensure all research activities adhere to ethical and financial compliance guidelines.

Critical Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees (MA, MS, MBA, PhD) are preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of market research experience.
  • Expertise in both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and business acumen.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate and influence in a matrixed environment.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and working with external research agencies.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience or experience in related fields is a plus, but not required.

To qualify for our benefits package, you must work over 30 hours per week, and the assignment must be a minimum of 10 weeks.
