Job Description

The YouTube Partner Engineering team supports premium products like YouTube Music, TV, and Living Room. As a Partner Engineer, you'll directly impact millions of music lovers by managing YouTube's largest partnerships. Responsibilities include developing partner-facing infrastructure, building support tools and systems, providing technical expertise and training, optimizing implementations to boost business, driving new opportunities, and innovating solutions within the digital music landscape. You'll work with cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Engineering, to improve product features based on partner feedback. This role demands programming skills and involves leading projects, handling both technical and business challenges.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in CS or related field
  • Experience with C/C++, Java, TypeScript, or Python
  • Android/Linux systems experience
  • Troubleshooting web & video streaming technologies
  • Software program/project management experience

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with C/C++, Java, TypeScript, or Python programming languages, and Android/Linux systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting using common web technologies and video streaming technologies.
  • Experience in software focused program/project management and in the business technology market and working with engineering, sales and marketing teams in networking.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience driving highly cross-functional initiatives in a structured as well as ambiguous environment while keeping attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate with both business and technical stakeholders.
  • Passion for building tools and infrastructure.
  • Strong communication, people management, problem solving, organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.

The YouTube Partner Engineering team delivers support for industry leading premium products including YouTube Music, YouTube TV and YouTube Living Room and for platforms such as shopping, mobile devices, TVs and third-party audience measurement. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $97,500-$140,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Develop the infrastructure of our partner-facing team, build tools and systems to support our partners. Provide training, documentation and technical expertise to accelerate their development and integration.
  • Design, develop, and maintain the tools and systems required by our business and technical partner-facing teams to support our partners. Identify, drive, and optimize the flow from business opportunities by leveraging YouTube technologies through prototyping and innovation.
  • Perform implementation reviews, drive new product features and internal tools, and ensure the prompt and proper resolution of technical challenges.
  • Improve product feature offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams, including Product Management and Engineering.
