Job Description

As a Product Manager II, Core Data at Google, you'll guide products from conception to launch, bridging the technical and business worlds. You'll work cross-functionally with engineering, marketing, legal, UX, and other teams on cutting-edge technologies. Responsibilities include understanding markets, competition, and user requirements; launching new products and features; and iterating quickly based on performance. You will develop solutions to complex problems, collaborating across regions and functions. The Core Data org builds Google's next-generation data infrastructure, powering 1P products and enabling developers to create and scale new products and features. This role requires strong analytical, communication, and collaborative skills.

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a technology or business related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
  • 3 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
  • 2 years of experience in software development or engineering.
  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
  • 1 year of experience in technical leadership.

Our team works closely with creative engineers, designers, marketers, etc. to help design and develop technologies that improve access to the world's information. We're responsible for guiding products throughout the execution cycle, focusing specifically on analyzing, positioning, packaging, promoting, and tailoring our solutions to our users.

The Core Data org in Core Systems is building Google’s next generation data infrastructure and solutions to power 1P products. Our org, which has deep roots in Search and Ads, builds Google’s core systems that enable developers across Google to quickly and easily develop and scale new products and features.

Google aims to build products that organize the world's information and make it universally accessible to our users. As a Product Manager at Google, you could be working on new technologies, platforms, consumer facing products, and/or enterprise systems. The end goal will be to match you with the team that best aligns with your interests, experience, and where you will have the most impact.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
