Job Description

Activision is seeking a Physics Programmer to contribute to the development of a new IP in Warsaw, Poland or Malmö, Sweden (hybrid on-site). Responsibilities include maintaining and improving the physics framework, pipeline, and feature set; driving the collision data pipeline for high-fidelity environments; architecting simulation and query behaviors; and deploying, optimizing, and testing software on PC and console platforms. The ideal candidate possesses 4+ years of game industry experience, significant physics pipeline and runtime behavior expertise, and strong collaboration skills. They should be proficient in writing efficient, performant, clean, and reliable code.

Job Description:

Position available in Warsaw, Poland or Malmö, Sweden (On-Site Hybrid)

Elsewhere Entertainment is looking for a Physics Programmer to join the development of a new IP.   
 
As a member of the Engineering department, you’ll maintain and improve upon our physics framework, pipeline and feature-set.

  
You’ll help us by 

  • Drive our collision data pipeline to build the highest fidelity scalable environments and assets

  • Architect and support simulation and query behaviors to maintain our position at the cutting edge of physics related gameplay and visuals

  • Deploy, evaluate performance, optimize, and test software on PC and console platform.

 

You’re awesome because you have 

  • 4+ years of experience working as an engineer in the game industry or a similar industry

  • Significant experience with physics pipeline requirements and runtime behaviors. 

  • Proven ability to collaborate, coordinate, communicate and support other team members

  • Demonstrated ability to write efficient, performant, clean, readable, portable, and reliable code

 

Bonus points for 

  • Direct experience with Havok or similar middleware

  • Enjoyment of playing a variety of video game genres and titles
