The position is a hybrid role, combining remote and in-office work.

Your New Role

The Data & Insights team is dedicated to transforming analytics data, consumer research, and market intelligence into clear insights, strategic recommendations, and forecasts. Our mission is to equip Warner Bros Discovery with a competitive edge in the UK and Ireland markets. By supporting the entire UK and Ireland business, we ensure that data and insights are central to all decision-making processes.

This position focuses on supporting key stakeholders in new release planning for Home Video and gaming, maximising audience engagement and profitability. Responsibilities include evaluating windowing strategies, providing data-driven recommendations, and developing robust forecasts for decision-making.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Support Key Stakeholders: Provide data-driven insights for new release planning across Home Video and gaming, with a focus on maximizing audience & profitability.
  • Evaluate Windowing Strategies: Monitor and assess film and TV windowing strategies, analyzing performance data to extract valuable insights.
  • New Release Recommendations: Support team members with strategic guidance on release dates, format splits, phasing, and targets
  • Scenario Modeling: Develop and interrogate forecasts to ensure robust, data-led decision-making.
  • Long-Range Planning Support: Offer data-driven recommendations and strategic guidance for annual and long-term planning.
  • Market Dynamics Expertise: Become a subject matter expert on market dynamics (home video, gaming) affecting core business lines, providing insights for effective planning.
  • Build Collaborative Relationships: Establish strong partnerships with stakeholders to ensure data is integral to decision-making processes.
  • Data Optimisation: Ensure that data and reports are effectively built, optimized, and disseminated across the organization.
  • One team: Partner with team members to advance research projects that yield critical consumer insights.

Skills and Experience

  • Solid experience working in the media industry (preferably with direct experience in film, and/or gaming)
  • Commercially minded with a passion for media, research and digital; experience of supporting revenue generating teams
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic organisation
  • Proficient in Microsoft (Excel, PowerPoint,I) and/ or Google (Sheets, Slides) software.
  • Ability to simplify complex concepts and adapt communication styles for diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in performance modeling and a solid understanding of key statistical methods.
  • Proven project management skills with the ability to lead cross-departmental initiatives.
  • A lateral thinker who identifies opportunities, understands consumer motivations, and challenges the status quo.
  • Power BI is useful but not mandatory.

Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
