Job Description

As a Product Manager II, E-Commerce at Google, you'll work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch, bridging the technical and business worlds. You'll break down complex problems, collaborating with engineering, marketing, legal, UX, and other teams. Responsibilities include understanding markets, user requirements, launching and iterating on products, and developing solutions across regions and product areas. The Commerce team focuses on building the best place for consumers and businesses to connect, while the Travel team aims to provide useful travel information. The role requires strong technical and business acumen, with a focus on analyzing, positioning, and promoting products to millions of users daily.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years product management experience
  • 2+ years taking products from conception to launch

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Job Details


Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
  • 2 years of experience taking technical products from conception to launch.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in a technology or business related field.
  • 3 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
  • 3 years of experience in a role preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
  • 2 years of experience in software development or engineering.
  • 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
  • 1 year of experience in technical leadership.

Travel team's mission is to be the trusted place where travelers go for the most useful information to make fast, effortless decisions.

As a Product Manager at Google, you could be working on new technologies, platforms, consumer facing products, and/or enterprise systems. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $156,000-$229,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Understand markets, competition, and user requirements in depth.
