This Senior Data Analyst role involves leading process improvement projects, ensuring the efficient operation of the Analytics Engineering unit, collecting and tracking meeting follow-up actions, contributing to and developing project budgets, and supporting financial processes. The role requires strong Excel skills, experience with project management tools like Asana and JIRA, and the ability to analyze and interpret data for decision-making.   • Leads process improvement projects as assigned by senior members of the team, ideally being familiar with Agile, Lean, and /or Six Sigma / Process Excellence approaches including developing performance indicators for collecting, analyzing and reporting effectiveness and iterating to improve effectiveness when required. 
  • Continuously completes daily operational activities for Analytics Engineering to drive the Strategic Objectives and ensure the business unit is running efficiently. 
  • Collects, tracks and follows up on post meeting actions, driving strong interlock with stakeholders. 
  • Contributes to and develops project budget to ensure adequate fund allocation and verifies expenses/savings. 
  • Supports monthly, quarterly and annual financial processes by preparing reconciliation materials including reporting on ad-hoc projects. 

Essential Skills and Qualifications: 

  • Intermediate to Advance Excel skills e.g. pivots, look ups, VBA, Power Query, dashboards creation, strong understanding of data models to support the team in the need to efficiently collect, clean, analyze, distribute, and report on data. 
  • Identify and act on opportunities to improve processes, hence this role requires working to intermediate knowledge of Asana and Atlassian JIRA (e.g. ability to write JQL, build dashboards, work on workflows). 
  • Identifies and sets up key measurements to track performance, reviewing, analyzing and interpreting these to generate insights for decision-making. 
  • Communicate with clarity and precision, presenting complex / technical information in a concise format that is audience appropriate including but not limited to doing necessary documentation such as post-meeting notes, procedures, etc. 
  • Works effectively with others and adapts ways of working to achieve a common goal. 

Desired Skills:

  • Experience in SDLC stages. 
  • Familiarity with Financial Markets / Banking industry. 
  • Power Bi, Python skills, SQL are a plus.
