Job Description

The Web Strategist at Kabam will develop and execute data-driven strategies to enhance website performance, user engagement, and overall digital presence. Responsibilities include planning long-term website vision, supporting marketing and branding strategy, leading A/B and multivariate testing, managing web projects, analyzing website performance using Google Analytics, researching user needs, developing content strategy, collaborating with designers and developers, and staying current with web technologies. This is a 6-month contract with potential for extension or a full-time role. The ideal candidate has 5-8 years of experience in web strategy or digital marketing, preferably in the gaming industry, strong analytical skills, proficiency in web analytics tools, and excellent project management skills.

As part of the Creative Services team, the Web Strategist will develop and execute data-driven strategies to enhance our websites performance, user engagement, and overall digital presence. This role requires a deep understanding of web analytics, UX/UI principles, SEO, and digital marketing trends to align the website strategy with business goals. This is a 6 month contract with the opportunity for extension or to grow into a full-time permanent role.

In this role, you can expect to be responsible for:

    • Planning: Work with the Head of Creative services along with cross departmental stakeholders to create a long-term vision for our websites, including a site architecture and customer journey map.
    • Marketing: Ensure the website supports the company's marketing and branding strategy. Lead A/B testing and multivariate testing to improve website performance and user engagement. Stay up-to-date with digital marketing trends.
    • Project management: Manage all web related projects (websites and webstore) from start to finish, including setting timelines and allocating resources
    • Analytics: Use tools like Google Analytics to measure and analyze website performance
    • Research: Analyze user data and feedback to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points. 
    • Content: Lead the development of the content strategy working with the Head of Creative Services that aligns with the business's goals and user needs
    • Design: Work with designers to create a user-friendly website that meets the needs of the target audience.
    • Development: Work with developers to ensure the website is technically sound. Stay up-to-date with emerging web technologies.

To be successful in this role, your background includes:

    • 5 - 8 years of experience in web strategy, digital marketing, or a related role. Strong preference for past experience in the gaming industry.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
    • Proficiency in web analytics tools (Google Analytics, SEMrush, Hotjar, etc.).
    • Strong understanding of SEO, UX/UI design, and content strategy.
    • Experience with CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress) and web development basics (HTML, CSS).
    • Excellent project management and collaboration skills.
    • Experience with project management tools such as Jira or Asana. Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and Zeplin preferred but not required.
    • Familiarity with A/B testing tools and methodologies.
