The Quest:
- Migrate a game, ensuring independent functionality;
- Identify and resolve known bugs to enhance game stability;
- Improve the runtime efficiency of the server to ensure smooth gameplay.
The Skills:
- Proficient in Core Java, databases, and caching;
- 5+ years experience in development;
- Very experienced in working on a variety of complex, high-scale systems in a commercial setting;
- Proficient in spoken and written English;
- Knowledgeable about web protocols, application servers and web servers;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team;
- Focused on maintainability and quality, building for the long term;
- Able to architect & design components, features, and systems;
- Very strong testing culture and experience;
- Structured and analytical.
Nice to have:
- Previous experience in library refactors/migrations, tech debt initiatives, tech migrations;
- Proficiency in cloud computing services (especially Google Cloud) and UNIX environments;
- Proficiency in additional programming languages, especially C++ or Python;
- Familiar with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Bash;
- Experience with developing mobile games.
