Valimail seeks a Senior Software Engineer to build new features in Ruby on Rails and/or Golang for their Enforce, Align, and Monitor products. This role involves developing scalable, robust, and maintainable code, building and maintaining applications, implementing features and fixes, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and improving development processes. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience building production web applications, significant experience in Ruby on Rails or Go, proficiency in PostgreSQL, and experience developing RESTful APIs. Responsibilities include collaborating on a high-performance software system, writing efficient code, building and maintaining applications, implementing features, and cultivating a culture of technical excellence. The engineer will also help define, scope, and prioritize work, demonstrating business need and impact.
Must have:
- 5+ years building production web apps
- Significant experience in Ruby on Rails or Go
- Proficient in PostgreSQL
- RESTful API development experience
- Collaboration and communication skills
Good to have:
- Experience with Hotwire, React, Redis, RSpec, Sidekiq, AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes

This is a remote position.
Senior Software Engineer
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States full-time. We are not able to sponsor applicants for work visas at this time.

Position Overview
Valimail is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our team - you will be working on our Enforce, Align, and Monitor products. In this role, you would be working to build out new features in Ruby on Rails and/or Golang. You will be working on a collaborative team that is helping to build out our industry leading SaaS DMARC application, building out APIs and other improvements to the platform. Additionally, this individual shouldwill stay up to date with industry trends, bringing that innovation into their day to day work. This team values shared common goals and the adaptability needed to reach those goals, clear communication, and a desire to work cross-functionally.

What You'll Be Doing
Collaborating in a stable high performance software system
Writing scalable, robust, testable, efficient, and easily maintainable code
Building and maintaining applications in fullstack Ruby on Rails or Go
Implementing features and fixes working hand-in-hand with cross functional teams
Helping to cultivate a culture of technical excellence, communication, celebration, and learning
Improving development processes by identifying inefficiencies in workflows and providing effective, measurable solutions
Collaboratively define, scope, prioritize, and estimate work demonstrating business need and impact
Providing technical expertise throughout the product life cycle including design, implementation, and delivery of scalable build/test/release infrastructure
About You
5+ years of experience in building production web applications
Significant experience in Ruby on Rails or Go; exposure to the other.
Ability and desire to learn and develop in different programming languages.
Proficient understanding of how to write, analyze and optimize PostgreSQL
Experience developing RESTful APIs
Desire to continuously improve.
Comfort and ability to operate in a remote environment while effectively collaborating with others
Bonus Points
