We are searching for an artist who is highly skilled and talented with a proven track record of leading teams in projects involving stylized environments, hard surfaces, and weapons. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader committed to maintaining high standards of quality and style, with extensive experience in game development and a deep understanding of different pipelines.

Superpowers
you have are

  • Working Experience as Project Lead or Team Lead in 3D;
  • Strategic thinking, desire to develop 3D Stylized Environment Sub-division;
  • Deep industry knowledge;
  • Constant self-development and the desire to develop others;
  • High-quality standards and artistic taste;
  • The ability to objectively evaluate the work of others and give constructive feedback;
  • Experience in creating high-poly and low-poly models of stylized environments, weapons and hard surface assets on given concepts;
  • High-poly sculpting in Zbrush;
  • Low-poly modeling in Max/Maya/Blender;
  • Experience in creating optimal UV mapping and texture baking (normal, AO, etc.);
  • Stylized texturing skills in Substance Painter and/or hand-painted texturing;
  • Intermediate level of English proficiency or higher, in both speaking and writing.

You’re a rockstar
if you have

  • Experience assembling assets into a scene in game engines (UnrealEngine 4, Unity, etc);
  • Experience creating materials in Substance Designer;
  • Rendering skills in VRay, Arnold, etc.

As a part of Room 8
studio, you will

  • Lead AAA console, PC and mobile projects in the direction of stylized environment, including stylized weapons and hard surface assets;
  • Control the quality of artists’ work in the team;
  • Assist and solve problems in the team that are related to the artistic and technical components of the project;
  • Organize the work of the team in the framework of the project and a specific task;
  • Be responsible for team management, development & assessment;
  • Participate in the hiring process as a technical interviewer and reviewer;
  • Create technical specifications and guides.
