Job Description

The System Administrator II will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's endpoint devices, ensuring they are secure, up-to-date, and operating efficiently. This includes managing and securing endpoint devices such as laptops, desktops, and mobile devices using tools like Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and Intune. The role also involves developing and implementing patch management strategies, planning and deploying operating system images, and packaging and distributing software applications. The administrator will also develop automation scripts, troubleshoot issues, and mentor junior team members.

  • Proficiency with scripting languages.
  • Strong Active Directory knowledge.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Good to have:
  • Enterprise experience managing MacOS is a plus.
  • Experience with Ivanti EPM is a plus.

Systems Administrator II

Job Description:  

We are seeking a senior level Systems Administrator II to join our IT team, supporting our studio’s workstation and mobile fleets. This role involves managing and maintaining our organization’s endpoint devices, ensuring they are secure, up-to-date, and operating efficiently.  

You love staying up to date on the latest trends and using your technical wizardry to solve complex problems. Your customer service skills are top-notch, and you flourish in a collaborative environment, with proven track record mentoring and developing team members.  

Responsibilities   

  • Endpoint Management
    • Manage and secure endpoint devices, including laptops, desktops, and mobile devices using tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Intune, or other endpoint management tools as may be deemed appropriate.
    • Configure and enforce device policies, profiles, and compliance settings to ensure all endpoints meet organizational standards.
    • Monitor endpoint health and compliance, generate reports, and take corrective actions as needed.
    • Implement and manage security measures such as encryption, antivirus, and threat detection to protect endpoint devices from vulnerabilities and attacks.
    Patching
    • Develop and implement patch management strategies to ensure all endpoint devices are up to date with the latest security patches and software updates.
    • Test patches in a controlled environment before deploying them to production systems to minimize disruptions.
    • Ensure compliance with SIE policies and industry standards, meeting InfoSec security compliance key performance indicators (KPIs).
    Operating System Deployment
    • Plan, create, and deploy operating system images to endpoint devices.
    • Customize OS images to meet the specific needs of different departments and user groups. Manage OS migrations and upgrades, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal downtime.
    Software Packaging and Deployment
    • Package and distribute software applications to endpoint devices
    • Maintain an inventory of software applications, manage licenses, and ensure applications are up to date.
    • Resolve software deployment issues and provide support to end users as needed
    Automation
    • Develop and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline IT support tasks and improve efficiency.
    • Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement and automation with the IT Support group.
    • Serve as an escalation point for advanced systems and desktop issues.
    • Document system configuration and workflows.
    • Provide mentorship to more junior team members.

Requirements   

  • Strong knowledge of endpoint management tools such as Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager and Microsoft Intune.
  • Proficiency with scripting languages and automation using PowerShell or Python.
  • Strong Active Directory knowledge.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Enterprise experience managing MacOS is a plus. 
  • Experience with Ivanti EPM is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. 
  • 5+ years of relevant IT experience in a similar role.
