Technical Lead, YouTube Commerce Applied Billing

Job Description
The Technical Lead for YouTube Commerce Applied Billing will establish and lead a new team in India, responsible for building tools and workflows for YouTube's paid products (Premium, Music, TV, etc.). This role involves managing project priorities, designing and developing software solutions, and serving as the technical point of contact with global teams. Responsibilities include team ramp-up, establishing team culture, and ensuring successful delivery of services and infrastructure for YouTube's paid product ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have extensive software development experience, strong leadership skills, and experience with e-commerce or billing platforms.
Must have:
- 8+ years software development experience
- Data structures/algorithms expertise
- 5+ years in software testing and launch
- 3+ years in software design and architecture
- Excellent technical leadership
- Establish and lead a new team
Good to have:
- E-commerce or billing platform experience

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products.
- 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience with e-commerce tools or billing platforms.
- Excellent technical leadership skills.

The Youtube (YT) Commerce Applied Billing team serves as a component to YouTube Paid Products global success. The team builds tools and workflows of Commerce Platform primitives that allow users to safely transact with YouTube.
