As a Technical Program Manager at Google Data Centers (GDC), you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects related to process engineering. Responsibilities include identifying process breakdowns, developing business process artifacts, ensuring adherence to process standards, and utilizing analytics for process optimization. You will work with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage schedules, and communicate effectively across teams. The role requires experience in data center infrastructure, telecommunications, or construction, along with a strong understanding of process engineering principles and lean methodologies. You'll also develop and implement process improvements, influencing upper management and aligning processes with business KPIs.
Must have:
  • Bachelor's degree in technical field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years project management experience
  • Data center, telecom, or construction industry experience
  • Process engineering experience (optimization, improvement)
  • Lead complex projects from start to finish
  • Cross-functional collaboration & communication
Good to have:
  • Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification
  • 5+ years experience in relevant industries
  • Cross-functional project management experience
  • Process engineering experience (system architecture, automation)
  • Understanding of data center technologies, supply chain

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma
    Black Belt (LSSBB).
  • 5 years of experience working in data center infrastructure, telecommunications, or construction industries.
  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in process engineering (e.g., system architecture, automation, analytics or capacity delivery).
  • Understanding of data center technologies, comparative analysis, supply chain or construction related activities.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$178,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Identify significant process breakdowns, influence upper management, and land improvement strategies.
  • Develop business process artifacts that provide end-to-end view of Data Center delivery, and depict operational blueprint of a Data Center that provide key insights into process health, performance, and align to business Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Ensure all projects adhere to the team's process standards, guidelines, and process lean principles.
  • Utilize analytics and quantitative methods to assess, design, and implement process optimization, streamline and simplify cross-functional operations.
  • Develop a process continuous improvement oriented culture translates intent to predictable execution.
