Job Title: Video Research Specialist

Location: New Delhi, India

We are hiring Video Research Specialists with a passion for short-form video, user-generated content (UGC), and internet culture.

What you will do:

Storyful’s newsroom has been working at the intersection of social media, news and technology to help media organizations tell the stories that matter most. As we expand the breadth and depth of our coverage, we are seeking a Video Research Specialist to join our new team in New Delhi. As a Video Research Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in identifying and evaluating content that aligns with our business goals. Your expertise in trends, pop culture, and video-sharing platforms will help us navigate the ever-evolving Internet landscape.

Key responsibilities:

Assess quality and original source of user-generated videos to serve Storyful’s clients and partners

Conduct thorough research to uncover promising leads for content clearance

Monitor internet trends and audience preferences to guide content decisions

Adhere to tight deadlines in a fast-paced, newsroom environment

Provide solutions and insights to enhance our content acquisition strategy

Collaborate with various internal teams to execute content strategy.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree or equivalent in journalism/communication/media studies or allied fields

A minimum of 2 years of experience in video, UGC or social media content moderation

Strong time management skills and an eye for detail, ensuring high-quality analysis.

Social media savvy, exposure in open-source intelligence, image/video clearance, intellectual property rights

Proven ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment, capable of analyzing Internet content and being goal driven

Deep understanding of media trends and internet culture, with familiarity across various video-sharing platforms.

Preferred Skills & Knowledge

Proficiency in Jira, Trello and awareness of any content management systems

Strong communication skills in English - written and spoken

Video editing skills are a plus
