Paytm has an opening in its Marketing Services business vertical for managing the Financial Ops & Recon function. At Paytm, driving innovation on behalf of customers is core to our mission, and this position leads a finance organization responsible for partnering with the business to deliver on this mission. This is an exciting opportunity to join one of the most strategic, impactful, and fastest growing verticals within Paytm.
Roles Responsibilities
1. The candidate would be the functional lead of day-to-day operations for the reconciliation team
ensure complete, accurate and timely delivery of the activities.
2. Identifying system issues related to reconciliation and making adjustments and improvements as necessary.
3. Document & improve reconciliation processes and the ongoing maintenance of these procedures.
4. Identify risks and create action plans to mitigate them- Process, verify, and reconcile high volume of transactions of complex nature.
5. Develop required files, reports, and data for analysis and reporting.
6. Supporting the month end closure of books & audits.
7. Cross functionally co-ordinate & conclude exceptions
8. Provide support and guidance to team including cross functional query handling.
9. Recommend changes in methods or procedures to improve process efficiency.
10. Provide overall direction to ensure the delivery of efficient and effective processes by the function.
11. Approve work performed by the team- Handle escalations and resolve inter/intra departmental
queries in a timely manner as required.
12. Ensure recon documentation/files are well-organized and readily available.
13. Perform all other recon related duties as assigned to meet the needs of the business.
14. Closure of open items & exceptions within stipulated timeline.
Preferred Skill Set
a. Previous experience of handling complex reconciliations and large volumes of financial data. Must be able to solve problems related to complex reconciliations.
b. Working knowledge of advanced excel and MS Office
c. Naturally investigative and a problem-solver by nature
d. Proven ability to manage a recon team
e. Marketing Services / Ads industry experience preferred
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
a. Bachelor’s degree in business, commerce or finance
b. At least 8 years of P2P, AP, AR, Reconciliation experience with exposure to managing / leading a
sizeable team
c. Advanced analytical skills and ability to get into the details and understand process flow / design
