Associate Category Manager - Location Based Entertainment (LBE) 

Responsibilities

  • Being the key support for the execution of the long-term strategic plan for LBE licensing in APAC.
  • Being the go-to-person for all APAC LBE operational matters.
  • Support sourcing high value top tier LBE opportunities in the market; negotiate and solicit deal. 
  • Build the network among design groups, consultants, legal professionals, operators and other industry leaders in order to remain up to date on industry trends, competitive landscape and emerging categories/markets to further the success of Hasbro brands in LBE industry.
  • Run multi-level due diligence on potential partners to confirm quality and experience of the potential licensee. 
  • Partner with Project Management to manage attraction development during all phases (concept to construction) to ensure quality control and brand integrity. 
  • Liaise with internal key stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Global Brand Teams, Risk Management and senior management), ensuring deal terms are clear and aligned with branding, corporate Legal and Finance principles and practices. 

Requirements

  • Degree in relevant discipline.
  • Proven experience within International Licensing or Location Based Entertainment for a toy/game, entertainment, attraction design or consultant firm coupled with demonstrable hands-on experience in negotiating licensing deals and deal terms.  deally with international experience across APAC.
  • Ability to present and sell a clear idea in any form (writing, meeting, phone, ppt). 
  • Ability to create and maintain complicated, multi-step processes, with an eye towards eliminating bottlenecks and seeing problems before they arise. 
  • Ability to negotiate highly complex commercial agreements and advise legal counsel on the drafting of the complex legal agreements. 
  • Excellent written communication skills in English and and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail with good organisational skills.
