Job Description

This role involves identifying, analyzing, and reporting audio-related bugs using tools like Wwise and Unreal Engine. Responsibilities include conducting quality assessments of audio assets (sound effects, music, voiceovers), collaborating with audio teams to provide feedback and suggest improvements, overseeing the quality of audio elements implemented in the game, assisting in debugging audio issues, creating and updating test scenarios, evaluating the audio experience from a player's perspective, and reviewing audio documentation. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in video game testing, proficiency with audio tools, and a strong understanding of audio production in video games. They should be analytical, detail-oriented, a team player, and passionate about video games and audio design.

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Audio Design QA Analyst to join our Quality Assurance team. If you have a solid background in QA with a focus on audio design for video games and are excited about collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver top-quality audio experiences, we want to hear from you.

Daily responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, and report audio-related bugs using tools such as Wwise and Unreal Engine to ensure a smooth and immersive audio experience.
  • Conduct comprehensive quality assessments of audio assets, including sound effects, music, and voiceovers, ensuring they meet specified standards and are free from issues such as distortion or clipping.
  • Collaborate closely with Sound Design, Music, and Audio teams to provide constructive feedback and suggest improvements for audio assets.
  • Oversee the quality of audio elements implemented in the game by conducting thorough testing to ensure they function correctly within the software or game environment.
  • Assist in identifying, debugging, and resolving audio-related issues in Wwise and Blueprints, contributing to audio implementation as needed.
  • Create and update test scenarios and test levels to align with evolving audio design needs.
  • Evaluate the audio experience from a player's perspective, ensuring it enhances gameplay and contributes to overall immersion and emotional impact.
  • Review and help maintaining audio-related documentation to ensure processes and best practices are clearly communicated and accessible to team members.
  • Research new audio methodologies and trends, proposing and iterating on solutions to improve existing audio design based on industry advancements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in video game testing, with a focus on audio design or sound engineering.
  • Proficiency with audio tools such as Wwise, Unreal Engine, and Blueprints.
  • Experience creating and validating test scenarios and levels for audio testing.
  • Strong understanding of audio production in video games, including sound effects, music, and voiceover integration.
  • Ability to identify, debug, and report audio-related bugs, ensuring their resolution.
  • Experience collaborating with development and audio teams, providing constructive feedback.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality audio experiences.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with effective communication skills.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Passion for video games and audio design.

Additional Information

Working mode

  • Office-First: working primarily from our Warsaw, Cracow or Wroclaw studio for a minimum of 3 days per week.
