The Business Controller is a multifaceted role requiring the individual to serve as an Implementation Manager, Subject Matter Expert (SME), Fin-ops Performance Manager, and oversee Business Controlling and Governance activities. This role involves leading and managing customer implementations, ensuring smooth transition from conception to stable operations. You will manage Fin-ops processes, measures, and design performance visibility for the entire Europe Operations Tower team to GSC and regional management. You will also identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to streamline processes in both Ops & Fin-ops and improve accuracy and efficiency within operations. This role involves working closely with various departments to gather data, perform detailed analysis, and create comprehensive reports that support strategic decision-making. You will act as the team’s representative in GSC and Regional Management calls, as well as in customer calls on behalf of Maersk.

The Business Controller is a multifaceted role requiring the individual to serve as an Implementation Manager, Subject Matter Expert (SME), Fin-ops Performance Manager, and oversee Business Controlling and Governance activities.Has responsibility for independently handling Finops, Implementation, Platform migration (SCP), project management, creating governance and performance metrics in line with the Client/Process IOP's and ensures quality of service is
maintained at all times. Interacts with internal stakeholders and plays
an active role in resolving process related issues, Supporting ,training and
coaching of new team members and supporting the Team Lead on a regular
basis.

  • Lead and manage customer implementations, ensuring smooth transition from conception to stable operations.
  • Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
  • Manage Fin-ops processes, measures, and design performance visibility for the entire Europe Operations Tower team to GSC and regional management.
  • Control Fin-ops KPI’s, Improve Cashbox Adoption ratio, work closely with CX, GSC, Area teams for Fin-ops Performance improvement.
  • Identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities to streamline processes in both Ops & Fin-ops and improve accuracy and efficiency within operations.
  • Assist the leadership team in optimizing resources, developing processes, and setting up compliant measures.
  • Provide specialized knowledge in operations and platforms (SCP, mymaersk, etc.) to guide process improvements, address exceptions, and foster best practices across teams.
  • Responsible for analysing and presenting critical insights and data to top management. This role involves working closely with various departments to gather data, perform detailed analysis, and create comprehensive reports that support strategic decision-making.
  • Act as the team’s representative in GSC and Regional Management calls, as well as in customer calls on behalf of Maersk.
  • Analyse volume and productivity targets

Prepares export/import shipment documents.
Has SME in-depth knowledge in documentation and takes lead in coaching
and training TM's.
Reviews client requirements and aligns the process IOP's.
Has good process and business knowledge.
Participates in/facilitates engagement calls with stake holders
