Job Summary
Job Description
This role involves guiding customers on data storage, processing, analysis, and visualization on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Responsibilities include data migration and modernization projects, designing large-scale data processing systems, developing scalable data pipelines, and troubleshooting platform challenges. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in data governance, security controls, and will travel to customer sites for deployments and workshops. Collaboration with Product Management and Engineering teams is also crucial for product excellence. Strong skills in Python, Java, Scala, Spark, Hadoop, SQL, and cloud technologies are essential.
Must have:
- 3+ years experience in data processing algorithms and software using Python, Java, Scala, Spark and Hadoop
- Experience with distributed data processing frameworks and data stores
- Experience with SQL coding across databases (e.g., Teradata, MySQL)
- Data migration and modernization projects
- Designing large-scale data processing systems
- Developing scalable data pipelines
Good to have:
- Big Data, information retrieval, data mining, or Machine Learning experience
- Experience with NoSQL, MongoDB, SparkML, and TensorFlow
- Experience architecting and developing internet scale Big Data solutions
- Experience with data warehouses, ETL/ELT, and reporting/analytic tools
- Experience with IaC and CI/CD tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins
- Knowledge of data security techniques (symmetric, asymmetric, HSMs, key management)

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in developing and troubleshooting data processing algorithms and software using Python, Java, Scala, Spark and hadoop frameworks.
- Experience with distributed data processing frameworks and data stores.
- Experience with SQL coding across databases (e.g., Teradata, MySQL).
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in Big Data, information retrieval, data mining, or Machine Learning with building applications with NoSQL, MongoDB, SparkML, and TensorFlow.
- Experience architecting, developing software, internet scale production-grade Big Data solutions in environments.
- Experience with data warehouses, including technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ELT and reporting/analytic tools, environments, and data structures.
- Experience with techniques like symmetric, asymmetric, Hardware Security Modules, envelopes, and implement secure key storage using Key Management System.
- Experience with IaC and CI/CD tools like Terraform, Ansible, Jenkins etc.
- Knowledge in data processing frameworks and data stores with ability to write SQLs.

- Interact with stakeholders to translate complex customer requirements into recommendations for appropriate solution architectures and advisory services.
- Engage with technical leads, and partners to lead high velocity migration and modernization to Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Design, migrate/build and operationalise data storage and processing infrastructure using Cloud native products.
- Develop and implement data quality and governance procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
- Organize various project requirements into goals and objectives, and create a work breakdown structure to manage internal and external stakeholders.
