Job Description

The Partner Event Manager will plan and execute partner events for the gReach Program, a 12-month paid upskilling program for professionals with disabilities. Responsibilities include collaborating with partner managers, engineers, and marketing to develop event strategies aligned with business goals; managing all event aspects (venue, budget, logistics, registration, on-site coordination, post-event follow-up); creating innovative event formats; tracking and analyzing event performance; and fostering strong partner relationships. Fluency in English and Japanese is crucial, given the diverse partner and attendee base.
Must have:
  • 1+ year event planning experience (online/offline)
  • Fluent in Japanese and English
  • Google Workspace proficiency
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
Good to have:
  • Project management experience
  • Experience negotiating business agreements

Minimum qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience planning and executing end to end online/offline events.
  • Experience using Google Workspace or other productivity tools.
  • Ability to communicate in Japanese fluently to build relationships with partners, stakeholders, and attendees of the events.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing projects, with strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, and ability to troubleshoot issues and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently as this is an external partner facing role and some of the attendees of the events only speak English.

The gReach Program is a 12 months paid upskilling program for industry professionals with disabilities where participants will receive on-the-job-training and work on a range of projects. The goal of the gReach program is to provide participants from underrepresented groups with the opportunity to grow their career as professionals.

As a Partner Event Manager, you will be responsible for planning and execution of partner events.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with the partner managers, partner engineers, and partner marketing team to develop event strategies that align with overall partner business goals.
  • Manage all aspects of event planning and execution, including venue selection, business agreement negotiation, logistics, budget management, attendee registration, on-site coordination, and post-event follow-up.
  • Create innovative event formats and content that resonate with our target audience and deliver a positive and memorable experience for partners.
  • Track and analyze event performance metrics, such as attendance, engagement, lead generation, and ROI. Prepare post-event reports with key findings and recommendations for improvement.
  • Foster strong relationships with partners through effective communication, collaboration, and support.
