Job Description

The Contracting Operations Manager at Google will provide scaled operations support to Google-wide sourcing, supplier, and contract management. Responsibilities include finalizing supplier lists, developing and issuing RFIs, RFPs, RFQs, and RFBs; participating in e-auctions/e-bidding; conducting discussions; awarding suppliers; and closing out projects. The role also involves consolidating and analyzing data to support supplier management, defining performance criteria, monitoring performance, managing escalations, and driving continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of experience in contract management, contracting operations, or procurement, including experience overseeing outsourced functions and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. A Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred. Experience with contract management software and AI tools is a plus.

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Legal Studies, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
7 years of experience in contract management, contracting operations, or procurement roles, including demonstrable experience in overseeing and managing the performance of outsourced functions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and quality standards.
3 years of in legal and regulatory requirements relevant to contract management.

Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree in Business administration, Contract Management, Supply Chain, Business laws or related field.
Experience of legal and regulatory requirements related to contract management, ensuring compliance with these requirements throughout the contract life-cycle.
Experience with industry best practices and emerging trends in contract management, and ability to implement these practices to optimize contracting processes.
Knowledge of using contract management software and AI tools to streamline and automate contract management processes.
Excellent investigative and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and metrics to drive performance improvements in outsourced operations.

Consolidate, curate and draw insight from data to support supplier management activities, including defining supplier performance criteria and procedure, executing expectations, monitoring performance data and identifying performance issues, conducting business review, managing escalations, and driving continuous improvement.
Manage and ensure efficiency in process optimization, emphasizing quality across Sourcing and Delivery.
