Role Purpose

As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in enabling smarter decisions through data-driven insights. Your primary responsibility will be transforming complex data into actionable intelligence that helps the business understand customers, optimise performance, and improve outcomes.

You will be responsible for developing new reporting solutions, as well as enhancing existing ones across platforms like Power BI, Snowflake, SSRS, and Streamlit. Your work will focus on maintaining key dashboards, improving data models, and ensuring data integrity, making our analytics ecosystem reliable, scalable, and impactful.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced, data-driven environment. You’ll collaborate with analysts and stakeholders across the business, delivering insights that drive decision-making and performance.

Key Responsibilities

The following is an overview of your responsibilities. Additional tasks may be required to fulfil the role's purpose.

• Dashboard and Report Development: Design and deliver engaging dashboards, reports, and datasets using Power BI, SSRS, and Streamlit, to drive business decisions.
• Data Modelling & ETL: Translate complex data sets into actionable insights through thoughtful data modelling and efficient ETL practices, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
• Data Analysis: Dive deep into data to uncover trends, solve business problems, and identify opportunities. Transform numbers into compelling stories that stakeholders can act on.
• Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders across various departments to understand their needs and deliver intuitive visualisations.
• Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing reports and dashboards, identifying root causes and implementing sustainable fixes.
• Data Quality: Advise on transformation logic, validation steps, and business rules to ensure high-quality outputs.
• Documentation: Maintain clear and concise documentation throughout the development process to ensure transparency and alignment with stakeholders.
• Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in Power BI and other reporting technologies, ensuring solutions remain modern and effective.
• Strategic Contribution: Contribute to broader business initiatives, helping to shape the organization’s strategic direction through data insights.

Skills and Experience

To succeed in this role, you will need the following skills and experience:

• Demonstrated years of proven enterprise-level experience in a similar role.
• Strong SQL skills with experience in report writing, data extraction, and manipulation.
• Proficiency in Power BI, including data modelling, DAX, Power Query, and Power BI Service.
• Technical experience with SSRS, Excel, Streamlit, Snowflake, and other cloud-based RDBMS platforms.
• Proven ability to derive actionable insights from data.
• Strong attention to detail and data validation skills.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex analysis clearly.
• Strong business acumen and analytical thinking.
• Effective time management and prioritisation skills.
