The Land Program Manager will be responsible for securing and pre-positioning real estate for Google's data centers across the Nordics and Benelux, focusing on the UK. This role encompasses all aspects of land acquisition and pre-development projects, from site identification and analysis to negotiation and closing. The successful candidate will manage multiple projects simultaneously, collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, legal, finance, community engagement), and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Responsibilities include driving acquisition and pre-development, cultivating stakeholder relationships, conducting thorough analyses, negotiating agreements, identifying suitable data center sites considering infrastructure, regulations, and community impact, developing best practices, and providing regular project updates.

Must have:

5+ years program management experience
Land acquisition/site selection experience
Agreement negotiation & project management
Real estate transaction management
Stakeholder relationship management

Good to have:

Data center/real estate development experience
GIS and real estate analysis tools proficiency
UK real estate regulatory environment knowledge

Job Details

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Real Estate, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in program management.
Experience with one or more of the following: land acquisition, site selection for technology, industrial-scale real estate projects, or real estate evaluation and development.
Experience managing agreement negotiations and multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in data center, real estate or infrastructure development.
Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and other real estate analysis tools.
Knowledge of the regulatory environment for real estate development in the UK.
Ability to work independently and collaborate in a fluid environment.
Ability to build consensus and influence stakeholders.
Ability to travel within the UK as needed.

Develop and implement best practices for land acquisition and pre-development, proactively identify and mitigate associated risks.
Provide regular updates on project status and performance to stakeholders.
