  • Translation and Localization: Translate, review, proofread, and evaluate game-related content in French or Spanish, adhering to established quality standards. Utilize AI machine translation tools to enhance translation efficiency and quality while preserving the game's essence.
  • Team Management: Manage the French/Spanish language teams and safeguard the final localization quality of games in French/Spanish; re-allocate linguists among projects by their workload status; train internal and external linguists involved the game localization; participate in online players satisfactory survey.
  • Cultural Sensitivity: Analyze and resolve culturally sensitive issues specific to the French or Spanish-speaking market, output internationalization and localization guidelines for developers and publishers, and be able to provide in-depth localization and language strategies . Mitigate potential risks to ensure the game's content aligns with cultural norms and preferences.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with game developers, publishing teams, and localization project managers to understand requirements, manage tasks efficiently, and coordinate with internal and external linguists. Oversee their work to maintain high localization quality.
  • Reference Materials and Training: Prepare reference materials and provide training to translators during the localization process. Develop and maintain style guides, term bases, and know-how documents for projects and languages under your responsibility.

Requirements:

  • Native speaker of French and/or Spanish to ensure accurate and natural translations that resonate with the target audience.
  • Excellent written skills in both French/Spanish and English. Conversational/fluent proficiency in Chinese is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in game translation and team management preferred. Familiarity with gaming terminology and trends is essential for successful localization.
  • Deep understanding of the French or Spanish gaming industry, culture, and gaming community. Cultural awareness is crucial in adapting content for the target audience.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ensure error-free localized content that maintains the intended meaning of the game.
