Job Summary
Job Description
As a Product Design Engineering Intern (2025), you'll contribute to innovative electronics design, balancing comfort, performance, and aesthetics. You'll collaborate on a team to develop harmonious designs, create prototypes, and work towards scaling those prototypes. Responsibilities vary by project but involve applying your skills in product design, thermal management, and 3D CAD modeling. You will work on the borders of risk, actively communicating within a team to establish design direction and create functional prototypes. The internship requires experience with product design and 3D CAD tools. Preferred qualifications include CFD modeling software experience (Flotherm, Icepak), programming (Labview, MATLAB), and statistical methodologies.

- Thermal management experience

Job Details
Minimum qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design or a related technical field.
- Internship, work, educational, or personal project experience with product design, thermal or experience with using any of 3D CAD tools (e.g., PTC Creo, NX, Solidworks).
Preferred qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Master's or above degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Product Design or a related technical field.
- Experience in utilizing either Flotherm, Icepak or other CFD modeling software.
- Experience in utilizing Labview, MATLAB programming and statistical methodologies such as Monte-Carlo* simulation.
- Experience in thermal modeling and testing of air and liquid cooling systems.
- Knowledge of system integration of complex consumer hardware, fundamental electrical engineering principles or semiconductor.
