Job Description

As a Program Manager III, Data Protection, Search at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. Responsibilities include managing project portfolios, driving multi-quarter roadmaps, initiating new projects (scoping, objectives, team dynamics), planning projects (milestones, timelines, dependencies, risks), and tracking and executing projects. You will collaborate with Software Engineers and Product Managers, exercise technical judgment to resolve issues, define processes for faster development, manage customer relationships, and coordinate across multiple locations and teams. Strong communication skills are essential for managing executive stakeholders and collaborating with a team of TPMs to establish standards and processes. The role focuses on driving Google's data protection strategy across Search.

Must have:

5+ years program/project management experience
Data access, risk assessment, or compliance monitoring experience
Cross-functional project management
Drive multi-quarter roadmaps and initiate new projects
Collaborate with SWEs and PMs

Good to have:

5+ years managing security programs
Experience in program management of related technical fields

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in program or project management.
Experience working with data access, risk assessment, or compliance monitoring for software infrastructure.

Preferred qualifications:

5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
5 years of experience in program management of security programs or related technical fields.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $139,000-$207,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

Program manages a portfolio of projects, driving multi-quarter roadmaps. Initiate new projects, such as scoping, objectives, team dynamics. Plan projects such as milestones, timelines, dependencies, timelines, risks. Track and execute projects.
Collaborate with SoftWare Engineers (SWEs) and Product Managers (PMs) to drive software development projects. Exercise technical and product judgment to resolve project issues. Define processes for speeding up infrastructure and feature development. Manage customer relationships and customer onboarding.
Coordinate across multiple locations, engineering leads, and product management teams.Manage communications across a complex web of executive stakeholders. Collaborate with a team of Search Infrastructure Technical Program Managers (TPMs) to establish standards and processes.
