About the team The Global Fire Safety Team is a crucial department within our organization, dedicated to ensuring the highest standards of fire safety across all our regions: APAC, EMEA, and AMS. This team will be divided into two primary work streams: Policy & Program Management and Regional Operations. Each stream has distinct but complementary roles to ensure comprehensive fire safety management, strategic planning, and operational execution. Responsibilities: - Regional Implementation: Ensure that fire safety SOPs and policies developed by the COE are effectively implemented in the assigned region. - Global programs: lead global programs and initiatives to improve fire safety standard and practice at global scale - Partnership Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external partners, including local fire departments, regulatory bodies, and safety organizations. - Execution and Compliance: Oversee the execution of fire safety initiatives and ensure compliance with regional and international fire safety regulations. - Incident Response: Lead and coordinate fire safety incident responses, ensuring timely and effective resolution of fire safety issues. - Reporting and Feedback: Provide regular feedback to the central team on the effectiveness of fire safety strategies and initiatives, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree and above - Minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant fields, including EHS, physical security operations, fire safety operations, GSOC, with a strong focus on regional implementation - Quick learner - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships Preferred: - Proven ability to lead and manage physical safety initiatives and incident responses - In-depth knowledge of regional fire safety regulations and standards ByteDance is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives.
