Summary

As an Interaction Designer, you'll rely on user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences—from concept to execution. You'll collaborate with your design partners to leverage and evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative, inspired products that people love to use. The Ads Planning team is dedicated to empowering Advertisers, Agencies, and Google's sellers with the tools and insights they need to drive impactful growth across all of Google's advertising platforms. Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements, and provide creative, thoughtful solutions. Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process with wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, or high fidelity prototypes. Integrate user feedback and business requirements into ongoing product experience updates. Advocate for the prioritization of design centered changes, refinements, and improvements.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 6 years of experience in product design or UX
  • Experience designing across multiple platforms
  • Working with technical/design teams to create user flows, wireframes
  • Building user interface mockups and prototypes
Good to have:
  • Experience as a feature or product designer working directly with or evolving design systems
  • Experience with Google Ads, or similar platforms
  • Experience designing advertiser-facing surfaces
  • Experience in video advertising or ingestion
  • Ability to collaborate, innovate, and solve ambiguous problems
  • Ability to lead, collaborate and influence (with and without formal authority) Engineering, Design and Product Management teams

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

The Ads Planning team is dedicated to empowering Advertisers, Agencies, and Google's sellers with the tools and insights they need to drive impactful growth across all of Google's advertising platforms.

We’re made up of multiple teams, building Google’s Advertising products including search, display, shopping, travel and video advertising, as well as analytics. Our teams create trusted experiences between people and businesses with useful ads. We help grow businesses of all sizes from small businesses, to large brands, to YouTube creators, with effective advertiser tools that deliver measurable results. We also enable Google to engage with customers at scale.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
