Job details:
Senior Delivery and Data analysts are members of a techno-functional team specializing in implementing Offer Optimization, Pricing, Revenue Management and Retailing Products at Airlines. They will also be the Subject Matter Expert on these solutions and will be involved in training airline analysts on the products. The analyst will also apply expert level statistical analysis, data modeling and predictive analysis on strategic and operational problems of airline business. In addition, you will source data from multiple different data sources, write high-quality data manipulation scripts in Python, R, Big Query etc
Responsibilities:
Will be involved in end to solution implementation life cycle as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) starting from Business Process workshop, Training, User Acceptance Testing and through transition to customer care
Will develop a thorough understanding of the product from functional, business, modelling and technical standpoint - in order to train airline analysts and also help in solution adoption into customer’s business processes
Work with airlines to identify opportunities for leveraging data to deliver insights and actionable prediction of customer behavior and revenue performance
Will attend onsite customer meetings and understand customer's business processes
Develop data models and algorithms to apply to data sets and run proof of concept studies
Works collaboratively in a team environment with project managers, account managers and development resources to meet customer expectations
Will lead the data gathering and data validation process prior to solution implementation phase
Will identify the best practices adopted by customers during the interactions and communicate the same internally to enhance products
Excellent written, verbal and communications skills to serve as lead conduit between developers, architects, designers and with external and internal stakeholders
Operates under general direction with minimal oversight and demonstrates effective teamwork
Ensures that approved methods, processes, and tools are consistently used
Shall mentor/train new delivery and data analysts on the solution and processes
Preferred Experience / Skills:
5+ years of experience in Revenue Management, Pricing, Data Analytics, or related roles
Exposure to Offer Order management, Retailing and Airline domain is preferred
Proven Analytical, Data and Technical skills
Experience developing customer choice models, price elasticity estimation and market potential estimation
Ability to apply modeling and analytical skills to real-world problems
Good understanding of database concepts and working knowledge of Python, R, SQL or BQ
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Must be organized and be able to multi-task and work in all areas as needed
Prior experience/knowledge of working on similar products or airlines is an advantage
Proficient English written and oral communication skills. Command of a second language is an advantage
Identify problems and be able to determine when appropriate escalation is required
Must be willing to travel 20 -30 % of the time or as per business needs
Preferred Data/Technical Skills
Expert in Microsoft Tools: Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Tools (good to have): SQL Developer, MongoDB, Studio 3T
Programming languages and other tools: Python, R, Tableau
