Meet Our Team:

The Global Customer Experience organization’s mission is to engage and delight millions of passionate customers across the globe by delivering Warner Bros. Discovery’s core streaming applications on all devices and platforms. The development team responsible for Connected Devices is a major part of that mission, which includes platforms such as Samsung, LG, Xbox, PlayStation, various Set-top platforms and more.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate As a developer on the Connected Devices team, you will work collaboratively with developers and stakeholders, developing and operating software applications and product features used by millions of people daily.

• Write code, specifically client-side scripting in the streaming app space, with a demonstrated ability to use industry tools common to software development.

• Contribute meaningfully in a professional team environment, performing all aspects of development including reading and writing technical documentation, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting issues and supporting releases.

• A willingness to champion code quality and best coding practices

• The ability to troubleshoot problems independently with minimal support from more experienced developers.

• The ability to design and create larger features from the ground up.

• Communicate effectively with other developers, stakeholders and adjacent teams, in a fast-paced environment and in a variety of different types of meetings and working sessions.

• A willingness to learn and an ability to accept constructive feedback.

• Proactively support the team when planning by breaking down tickets and providing estimations.

• Participate in feature development discussions with other platform teams.

• A willingness to mentor less experienced developers and students.

• Knowledge of development best practices, including coding guidelines.

• A clear understanding of testable, scalable and resilient products development.
   

What to Bring:

• 4+ years’ experience developing and releasing software products and/or services.

• Professional experience using client-side scripting such as JavaScript or Typescript

• Professional experience using Git.

• Professional experience using Jira, or equivalent.

• Professional experience in an agile development environment with exposure to Scrum, Kanban or equivalent.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.

• Knowledge of or previous experience with OTT is a plus.

• Knowledge of key design and architectural patterns such as MVVM, MVI and SOLID principles

• Experience with various Test Strategies and associated frameworks.

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs to operate
